Locally Evolved Warewashing
The company was originally founded in 1981 by Des and Gary Brent in Auckland, New Zealand.
After spotting a new opportunity they released their first machine, an innovative undercounter dishwasher, branded Starline. The product range was extended to include glasswashers, commercial dishwashers, potwashers and industrial washing machines.
In 1989 they entered the Australian market with the new Washtech brand. A base in Brisbane was established from which to distribute. In 1993 Washtech gained ISO 9001 certification, which it has maintained ever since.
Now, as the largest manufacturer of quality professional wash equipment in Australasia, Washtech proudly looks back on more than 30 years of building robust, efficient and reliable equipment – and forward to doing more for our clients in the future.

The Washtech Planned Maintenance Program provides pre-arranged service visits at times which are convenient for your business where our technicians will complete a 30-point check, carry out any adjustments or preventative repairs required to keep your Washtech dishwasher in optimal condition over the longest useful life possible. They will also check on operating and cleaning procedures and are happy to provide staff training where necessary.
